Again this year ticket sales for the West Rainy River Lions Club Pontoon Boat Raffle are proving to be very strong. Held each year and drawn at the Rainy River Walleye Tournament the raffle for a Princecraft Pontoon Boat package from Nestor Falls Marine is being widely supported across the District. This year’s ticket sales to June 1 are ahead of what they were in mid July last year. Last year tickets were completely sold out by early September and it looks like 2021 will be a sell out as well. At only $20 each, tickets are available at many merchants across the District as well as from WRRD Lions members. Online go to https://westlions.ca/ and click on Pontoon Boat Draw 2021 to order your tickets via safe and easy e-transfer.
The Princecraft Pontoon Boat package is being displayed at different locations in the District throughout the summer. Watch for it and drop into the supporting businesses to get your tickets before they are all gone.
The Pontoon Raffle as well as the Princecraft Boat package features a 2nd prize of $1500 cash and a 3rd prize of $500 cash. The draw will be held at the RRWT Tournament on September 19, 2021. In addition this year there will be an Early Bird Draw for $1000 to be held in Rainy River on Sat, July 17, 2021. Make sure you get your tickets in time for this draw. To be eligible tickets must be purchased and turned in prior to the draw on July 17, 2021
This is the WRRD Lions main fund raising venue operated under the rules of the AGCO and all funds raised are used to support WRRD Lions eligible charitable activities including CNIB Guide Dogs, Cancer Care for Children, and the Diabetes Foundation. Across the District we support programs like Youth Recreational Activities, 4-H Clubs, Active Seniors Community engagement and student bursaries.
