Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls OPP charged a 34-year-old Whitefish Bay resident with criminal negligence causing death following an incident there yesterday morning.
Police were notified that shortly before 9 a.m., a 32-year-old Whitefish Bay woman was struck by a motor vehicle she had been hanging onto.
An investigation revealed the woman was holding onto the motor vehicle when it started to drive away. She fell from it and sustained injuries.
The woman was taken to Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora, where she was later pronounced dead. A post-mortem was scheduled for today.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
