The Borderland Racing Association is pleased to announce the WISSOTA Super Stocks are making a return to the Emo Speedway this Saturday (Aug. 2).
They will finish the feature event that was cancelled due to rain back on July 19.
Along with finishing their feature event, the WISSOTA Super Stocks will be racing another complete program with heats and feature. There also will be a bike giveaway.
Draw cut-off is at 6:45 p.m., with hot laps at 7 p.m. and racing at 7:30.
Admission is $10 for adults, $6 for students/seniors, and $4 for kids aged six-12 (those five and under are free).
The heat races back on July 19 involved drivers such as Hibbing’s Jeff Tardy and Bemidji’s Gordie Lancaster.
Both won their heats, with Jay Kintner also winning the first heat.
The track was beautiful and smooth all around. Unfortunately, pouring rain came down on the speedway when the Super Stocks had just begun their feature.
The rain was so heavy; some vehicles were stuck in the pits until rescued by the track grader and tow truck.
Beautiful clear skies are in the forecast for this Saturday.
