Tami LeBlanc, co-ordinator of the Stratton Toy Library, and assistant Laurie Anderson agree the centre will be a lively place with all the activities planned there.
The STL is open for anyone to use. “There is a great variety of toys, games, movies, books, and much, much more,” said LeBlanc.
If you have any questions or want more information on the activities there, call 483-5319.
A reminder the STL resumed its winter hours starting Sept. 1. It now is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9a.m.-3p.m., Wednesdays from 1-6 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m.-2p.m.
It is closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday.
In related news, the STL is going to change the after-school craft back to Wednesdays from 3:30-5 p.m.
LeBlanc hopes this isn’t an inconvenience for anyone, and that they’ll see you all again this fall along with anyone new wishing to attend.
Please keep in mind that we ask you to pre-register so we know how many to plan for, she added. If you do not pre-register, you are not guaranteed a space.
If you have any questions, call the STL at 483-5319.
“Since last year’s chocolate-covered almond fundraiser went so well, we have decided to try it again this year,” said LeBlanc, adding the almonds will be for sale at the STL as well as from all of the board members.
The 50/50 draw was won by Aynsley Williams. Congratulations, and thank you to all who worked so hard to help sell tickets.
A big thank you also to Ann Michl for all her hard work over the years for the STL. She had been the chairperson for many years but has decided to move on to something new.
We wish her the best of luck in the future.
Just a reminder that because of the STL’s changeover into an Ontario Early Years Centre back in July, there have been some changes in the programs, LeBlanc noted.
Only one item is allowed to be borrowed at a time per child per household. This makes it easier for every family to be able to use our facilities.
A reminder, also, that respite care is now called “Childminding,” which is available every Tuesday from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. If you have any questions, call the centre or drop by.
