Why not take mom to fish fry?

The second-annual Mother’s Day fish fry will take place this Sunday (May 11) beginning at 4 p.m. at the Devlin Hall. The cost is $12 for adults, $6 for kids aged six-12, and free for those five and under.
The funds raised will go towards the Crossroads community rink project.
Students may gain their required volunteer hours by helping out at this event. Call Joe Bodnar (486-1053) if you are interested.
Adult volunteers also are welcome.

Local 4-H’ers are selling tickets to raise money for the 4-H kids throughout Rainy River District. The $2 ticket enters you in a draw for lawn furniture that has been partly donated by K.G.D. Furniture.
The set consists of a round table, two chairs with a table in the middle to join them, a rocking chair, a single chair, a foot stool, and two side tables.
The draw will be held May 30 during the Emo walleye tournament.
Be sure to buy a ticket from a 4-H member. I’m sure this furniture set will brighten up any deck.

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers and grandmothers. May you have a great day!
If you’re fortunate enough to still have your mother, be sure to treat her. If not, take a few moments to reflect on the many special memories you still carry in your heart about your mother.
