The “Wheels to Meals” had exciting entertainment prior to their lunch of soup and sandwiches.
The event was sponsored by Fort Frances Times, 93.1 FM radio, Shaw Television, Fort Volunteer Bureau, and Rainy River Safety Coalition.
Thirty-seven seniors including the Cast of the Sunset Seniors attended the luncheon and presentations, “Please Help Me I’m Falling,” written by Wendy Judson, and directed by Jean Boileau with assistance from Monica Hanzuk, and the two, one act plays entitled “Family Relationship” and “Oh Those Pills,” the seniors reacted with laughter.
Cst. Al MacDonald of the OPP was on hand to talk about abuse and home security. “Call the Police” was his advice. “We have a hot line, do not be afraid to call,” noted Constable MacDonald. Each one in attendance received a booklet Home Security Audit and a calendar.
