The Stand Season 1 – TV-MA – Adventure, Drama, Fantasy – March 19

Based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, The Stand, is King’s take on a post-apocalyptic world. The fate of the world rests on the shoulders of a 108-year-old and a handful of other survivors. To make matter worse the nefarious Dark Man embodies their worst nightmares with a lethal smile.

Stories from the Land – local – documentary

A four-part documentary series adapted from the hit podcast of the same name, “Stories from the Land” focuses on Indigenous experiences and stories from across the province. Created and produced by Ryan McMahon and Wendell Collier, both of whom have strong ties to the Rainy River District, the first season of the CBC Gem series features stories from Kay-Nah-Chi-Wah-Nung Historical Centre, Rainy Lake, Fort William First Nation and Fort Erie.
