Riverside Health Care Facilities, Inc. is responding with municipal and public health officials to a watermain break on Front Street close to the Emo Health Centre.
With township officials preparing to excavate to repair the site, hospital staff proactively were preparing for a “boil-water” advisory until samples are analyzed and approved for drinking by the Northwestern Health Unit.
Staff are ensuring bottled water will be made available to all patients and residents, and that appropriate precautions are being taken in food service preparation and infection control.
In addition, cautionary signage is being placed on all water taps and drinking foundations.
