The Rainy River District Women’s Institute Museum staff will be at the Clover Valley Farmers’ Market in Fort Frances this Saturday (Oct. 29) from 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
They will be serving a chili/bun lunch and slices of pie.
There also will be a variety of baking for sale and they will be selling quilt tickets (which will be drawn during “Holly Daze”), with proceeds going towards the upkeep of the museum in Emo.
Meanwhile, the next regular meeting of the W.I. Museum board is slated for Monday, Nov. 14 at 1 p.m.
There currently are vacancies on the board, and anyone interested in helping them preserve the history of Rainy River District is invited to come out at this time to see what the group is all about.
The board recently served lunch to a group of ladies from Fort Frances/International Falls, which was followed by a tour of the museum.
Everyone had a great time and those on hand really were impressed with the museum.
The museum staff would like to invite those interested in arranging a tour to call either Sheri (486-3535) or Annie (482-3941).

A reminder the next concert in the Border Concert Association’s 2011-12 series will take place next Tuesday (Nov. 1) at 7:30 p.m. at the Backus Auditorium over in International Falls.
The concert, featuring Richie Lee and the Fabulous ’50s, will transport everyone back in time.
Lee has been performing and dressing as Buddy Holly since he was seven years old. Now at 20, he is a skilled musician and great singer with a voice that is amazing.
He looks and sounds just like Buddy Holly!
Tickets, which cost $45 for adults, $95 for a family (two adults and school-age youth), and $10 for students (with school ID) will be available at the door.
With five concerts remaining in the series, it is still an excellent deal.
