The District W.I. Museum in Emo held its annual closing luncheon last Monday (Oct. 6). I was told there are six W.I. branches in the district and each one was represented there that day.
Handling the bake table, which included an assortment of homemade goodies, such as pumpkin and apple pies, muffins, and dainties, were Asta Westberg and Ruth Brett from the Lake of the Woods W.I.
The membership served the luncheon, which featured four different varieties of soup as well as sandwiches and refreshments. Everyone enjoyed the atmosphere and, for a change, the weatherman helped out.
It was an excellent day to relish Mother Nature’s last summer beauty.
