Atikokan OPP responded to a motor vehicle collision with a moose on Saturday on Highway 11 about five km west of Atikokan.
The driver was not injured, but his vehicle sustained enough damage that it could not be driven from the scene.
The moose ran into the bush.
Then on Sunday, Atikokan OPP responded to a single motor-vehicle collision west of Atikokan.
The driver was not injured as the vehicle entered the ditch. But the motorist had to call police from a cell phone inside the vehicle as the door could not open.
Police urge motorists to adjust their speed and driving habits to the winter road and weather conditions.
Also make sure you have warm clothing and blankets stored inside your vehicle in case you are involved in a collision and have to wait for emergency response.
