Northwestern Health Unit has received a report of two new COVID-19 cases in the Kenora health hub area. Cases and their contacts are being followed up as per protocol. We recommend that all persons assume COVID-19 is in your community and practice preventive measures like physical distancing and hand hygiene.
The two new cases are in addition to three new cases for the town discovered last week. Two asymptomatic cases were discovered in the Kenora jail. An additional case was found in a First Nations community north of Kenora.
