Northwest Catholic District School Board trustees will be electing a new chair and vice-chair at tomorrow’s meeting.
Set to begin at 9:30 a.m. at the board office in Dryden, trustees also will be looking at the 2010-11 audited financial statements for the board, as well as confirming the make-up of board committees for 2012.
As well, the board will adopt the 2012-13 school year for submission to the education minister.
In other news, MISA data co-ordinator Mike Belluz will give a presentation to the board on the iPad pilot project currently underway at St. Francis School here.
Meanwhile, December’s recognition of excellence will be presented to a team of Grade 7 students from St. Joseph’s School in Dryden (Jacob Mousseau, Jacob Benson, Katie Gould, and Summer Wilson) who placed first overall amongst 13 teams from across the region that participated in the Skills Canada cardboard boat race competition.
The team now is invited to participate in the provincial competition in Waterloo in February.
