A man was charged after the tractor-trailer unit driver he was driving became stuck on the railway crossing on Railway Street in Kenora.
Police were notified of the truck being stuck on the crossing just before 8:30 a.m. yesterday.
Traffic was backed up and had to be re-routed until the truck could be removed shortly after 9 a.m.
The crossing is regulated to vehicles with three axles or less.
A 40-year-old Thunder Bay man was charged with disobeying a sign and issued a Provincial Offences Notice.
The Canadian Pacific Railway Police also is conducting an investigation into the incident.
