Three people face drug-related charges following an ongoing joint investigation into drug trafficking in Kenora.
Shortly after 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 10, as a result of an ongoing investigation, police conducted a vehicle stop on a mini-van on Highway 17 near Dogtooth Lake, east of Kenora.
Two men and a woman were arrested and searched at the scene, where they were found to be in possession of 33.8 grams of methamphetamine, Canadian currency, and other items associated with the drug-trafficking trade.
The street value of the drugs is estimated to be around $10,000.
A 28-year-old Red Lake man was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking while a 34-year-old Dryden man was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
They both were held in custody pending a bail hearing yesterday.
A 20-year-old Kenora female was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and failure to comply with probation orders.
She is to appear in court in Kenora on Dec. 8.
