On Sunday, Feb. 3, the Kenora OPP received a complaint of a theft from a vehicle on Lake of the Woods near French Portage Narrows.
Upon further investigation, it was determined a cottage was broken into in the area of Chapel Island and firearms were stolen.
As a result of this investigation, three adult males were charged with theft under $5,000, break and enter and stealing a firearm, possession of a firearm, prohibited or restricted weapon obtained by crime, and unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon.
Police recovered the stolen firearm on Thursday.
The three were scheduled to appear in court in Kenora on Friday.
