Trafficking charges laid

As a result of an investigation by officers of the Fort Frances Community Drug Action Team (CDAT), one female is facing drug-trafficking charges.
A 22 year-old Couchiching First Nation woman, was arrested and charged Nov. 23 with two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking when officers located her in a vehicle in a Fort Frances area parking lot.
At the time of her arrest, she was in possession of 10 mg pills of Oxycontin and 8x75mcg/h Fentanyl patches.
The street value for these prescription drugs is $2,600
The woman later was released and is to appear in court here Jan. 21.
