Toy library eager about carnival

The Emo Toy Library Resource Centre is looking eagerly towards its fall carnival coming up Saturday, Oct. 25 from 1-3 p.m. at the Emo Legion.
Special guests will be the Borderland Community Orchestra.
The theme will be Hallowe’en, of course, and everyone is invited to hear great music (the orchestra will be performing children’s songs). There also will be games, face-painting, prizes, refreshments, and snacks.
Children are being urged to wear their costumes, and there will be a contest.
The cost of admission is $5 for adults and $2 for kids. The ETL hopes to see you all there!
Meanwhile, a Mother’s Market was held last Saturday (Oct. 4) from 9 a.m.-noon at the Devlin Hall, where wide selections of items for you and your family were available (such as strollers, clothing, toys, skates, and snowsuits).
Mom’s need a break. Would you like a chance to make crafts and socialize with other women at the same time? Then join Lori-Anne Shortreed at the ETL tonight (Oct. 8) at 7 p.m. for Mom’s Night Out.
Those on hand will be making an autumn craft, and the cost for materials is $10.
Finally, ETL co-ordinator Jennifer Miedema said the theme of National Family Week this year is “Family and Work,” which involves seeking a healthy balance between the two.
“We always offer family activities at the centre,” she remarked. But for more ideas on how to balance family and work, visit www.familyservicecnada.org
