The Emo-La Vallee-Chapple Healthy Communities Coalition once again will be hosting a “tour of lights” for seniors tomorrow evening (Dec. 2).
This is a free bus tour of the town of Emo to view Christmas lights.
Pick-up will be at Golden Age Manor and Queen Street Manor at 6 p.m. Coffee or hot chocolate and goodies then will be served at each of these locations after drop-off.
If someone living in the town of Emo would like to take the tour, but is not able to get out, arrangements can be made for bus pick-up at home.
To arrange for this, or for any other information, call Wilma Sletmoen at the Northwestern Health Unit office (482-2211).
Thanks to Kenny Fisher for graciously providing free bus service.
It also would be appreciated if town residents could make a point of having their Christmas lights lit at this time to make a good showing for the tour.

The staff at the Emo Health Centre is hosting a penny table during the next couple of weeks in the hospital lobby, with proceeds to go towards paying for a Christmas party for the residents.
The winners will be drawn on Dec. 16, which also is the day they will be holding the party.
Everyone is encouraged to drop by (especially during Emo’s annual “Holly Daze” festivities Dec. 3-4), buy some tickets, and contribute to this worthwhile cause.

The “Holly Daze” Christmas parade that takes place this Friday (Dec. 3) still is looking for participants.
If you are interested in putting a float in this year’s parade, it is definitely not too late. Contact Tom Jackson at Tompkins Home Hardware for more information.
Organizers are hoping an increase in participation will make this year’s parade the best yet!
