Rainy River District OPP responded to two separate reports of fire in the Town of Rainy River back in September.
Police now are working together with Crime Stoppers to encourage the public to come forward with information pertaining to these crimes.
On Sept. 9 at 6:30 p.m., police and firefighters responded to the report of a house fire on Main Street.
The fire was contained to the residence and extinguished by firefighters.
The building was a vacant house and no one was injured in the blaze.
Then on Sept. 10 around 1:15 a.m., a neighbour called to report a fire inside a garage on River Avenue.
The OPP and Rainy River Fire Department responded, with the fire being contained to the garage and extinguished.
In order to further the investigation, police are asking the public to come forward with information about these fires.
