Tips sought on crimes

On Oct. 7, Emo OPP officers investigated the report of mischief in which five metal gates and posts to entrances of a private property on Highway 602, just west of Fort Frances, were damaged.
Those responsible ripped the gates from the posts and discarded them in another location, hoping they wouldn’t be found.
A day earlier, on Oct. 6, someone spray-painted several municipal buildings in Rainy River, including the municipal garage, the water treatment plant, and the waterfront park.
The vandalism depicted a picture of a “woman,” the word “Korn,” the numbers “4:20,” and a picture of a “dragon.”
Then sometime between Nov. 5-6, someone at Fort Frances High School smashed a music student’s Ibanez Talman electronic acoustic guitar beyond repair.
The neck of the guitar was broken at the first fret, just below the tuning pegs.
