Thrift Store now taking donations

Staff

After putting a hold on clothing and household item donations in late June, the local Salvation Army once again is accepting them as of today (Aug. 1).
While the break gave Thrift Store staff time to catch up on their inventory, the Salvation Army still is asking the public only to donate items in good condition in future.
This means quality clothing that has been washed prior to being donated.
This also means any household items must be in working order—not broken items that no one would buy and should be thrown away.
As well, donors only must bring items to the Thrift Store during business hours.
It is open weekdays from 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
Funds raised by the Thrift Store go towards family services and community programs run by the Salvation Army, or to pay employees and operational costs.
