From the OPP
Three people are facing stunt driving charges after being stopped by the OPP near Marathon on Saturday.
Around 12:30 a.m., the OPP observed a GMC truck speeding on Highway 17 in Lecour Township.
An officer operating radar determined the truck was travelling 145 km/h in the 90 km/h zone.
A 31-year-old male from Stoney Creek, Ont. was charged.
Around 1:40 p.m., the OPP observed a Jaguar car speeding on Highway 17 near Highway 614.
An officer operating radar determined the car was travelling 145 km/h in the 90 km/h zone.
A 36 year-old male from Toronto was charged.
Then just after 5 p.m., the OPP observed a Pontiac car speeding on Highway 17 near Highway 614.
An officer operating radar determined the car was travelling 151 km/h in the 90 km/h zone.
A 22-year-old male from Calgary was charged.
All three drivers had their licences suspended, and their vehicles towed and impounded for seven days.
OPP reminds motorists to contact police to report aggressive and unsafe driving.
