The Treaty #3 Police Service and OPP have made an arrest in connection with the death of Charles Minshall, 61, of the Naotkamegwanning Anicinabe (Whitefish Bay) First Nation that occurred there July 22.
A 16-year-old from Whitefish Bay First Nation was arrested and charged with first-degree murder on Tuesday.
Subject to the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the accused cannot be identified.
The accused was scheduled to appear in court in Kenora yesterday.
The cause of death is not being released at this time.
Officers from the T3PS and the OPP’s North West Region Crime Unit are continuing the investigation under the direction of Det. Insp. Dan Davidson of the OPP’s Criminal Investigation Branch.
