Around 1 a.m. on Saturday, Rainy River District OPP officers responded to a premise alarm at a business in downtown Fort Frances.
Upon arrival, officers noted the front window to the main entrance had been smashed.
A description of a culprit was determined and the OPP North West Region Canine Unit from Fort Frances was dispatched to assist.
As a result, a male suspect was located a few blocks from the scene.
Corbin Archie, 19, of Fort Frances was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and assaulting a police officer.
He is scheduled to appear in court here Jan. 21.
