Teams now sought for Lions’ golf tourney

The Lions Legacy Golf Tournament, presented by the Fort Frances Lions Club and the Fort Frances Voyageurs Lions Club, will be held on Saturday, June 22 starting at 10 a.m. at Heron Landing (Couchiching).
The cost is $100 each or $400/team, which includes 18 holes of golf, a cart, and supper. Entries are limited to the first 36 paid teams, with the registration deadline being June 6.
Proceeds to the homelessness program and the women’s shelter program.

Tickets still are available for the Emo and District Lions Club’s “Lions Share Grocery Raffle.”
They are being sold for $10 each at Cloverleaf Grocery, Walmart, Emo Feed, the Hair & Body Care Shoppe, and Tompkins Home Hardware and also can be purchased from any club member.
First prize is $100/week for a year, or in other words $5,200 worth of groceries. Second prize is $500 in groceries while third prize is $100 in groceries.
Proceeds will go to the Emo food bank and other club projects, the latest of which is helping the municipal council in Devlin with the new playground at the Ball Diamond along Highway 11/71.
Help these Lions make our communities better places to live by purchasing a raffle ticket(s). You just might win some groceries but you also will help the Lions and our communities.
