The Sunny Cove Advisory Committee held its first meeting of 2019 on Thursday.
“The 2019 calendar at Sunny Cove is already quite full,” noted committee member Coun. Rick Wiedenhoeft in a report to council on Monday evening.
“Bookings go from late may all the way to early October,” he added.
The generated revenue at Sunny Cove totals $44,000 and is slightly surpassed by the expenditures to run the facility but Coun. Wiedenhoeft said it is a small price to pay.
“It is well worth the value Sunny Cove brings to the residents of town and the district,” he remarked.
This July and August are filled with programs for youth, church groups, bible camps, campers, family reunions, and the occasional wedding.
“Sunny Cove gives Fort Frances great value for the money that’s invested,” Coun. Wiedenhoeft lauded.
