Voyageurs National Park will offer a wide variety of programs and activities through Aug. 24.
Available this year will be boat tours of the park, programs for children, evening guest-speaker and campfire talks, north canoe trips, morning, afternoon, and evening canoe trips, and an evening exploration of a beaver pond.
Programs take place at the three park visitor centers; at the Beaver Pond Overlook on the Ash River Road, and at Woodenfrog State Campground.
There is a fee for all boat tours and reservations can be made by calling 1-888-381-2873. All other programs are free. Reservations are recommended for the north canoe and Rainy Lake canoe trips.
Come to the Rainy Lake Visitor Center on Sunday, from 1-4:30 p.m. for the Grand Tour Cruise on the 49-passenger Lac la Pluie and from 7-9 p.m. for the Sunset Cruise.
On Mondays experience the Gold Mine Tour Cruise from 1-2:30 p.m. and the Sunset Cruise from 7-9 p.m.
Tuesdays offer the North Canoe Voyage with costumed “voyageurs” from 9:30-11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Gold Mine Tour Cruise from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., the Bald Eagle Watch Cruise from 1-3 p.m, and the Evening Canoe trip from 6-7:30 p.m.
On Wednesdays the Gold Mine Tour runs from 1-2:30 p.m. and the Bald Eagle Watch Cruise from 3-5 p.m. Thursdays start with the Gold Mine tour Cruise from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., then the Bald Eagle Watch from 1-3 p.m., ending with an Evening Canoe trip from 6-7:30 p.m.
Fridays consist of the North Canoe Voyage from 9-11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., then the Gold Mine Tour from 1-2:30 p.m. End the day with a campfire program from 7-8 p.m., then gaze at the stars on the Starwatch Cruise from 10-11:30 p.m.
Saturdays begin with the North Canoe Voyage from 9:30-11 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., then the Bald Eagle Watch from 1-3 p.m., and the week ends with the Evening Canoe trip from 6-7:30 p.m.

Be sure to visit the historic log cabin that is the Ash River Visitor Center this summer and explore the nearby Blind Ash Bay Trail.
On Tuesdays and Saturdays join a ranger for the Evening Beaver Pond Explore from 8-9 p.m. at the Beaver Pond Overlook.
On Wednesdays, meet at the visitor center to become a “voyageur” and help paddle a 26-foot North Canoe from 1-2:30 p.m. or 3-4:30 p.m. (reservations recommended).
