Crossroads School students have all been gifted with a red plaid neck warmer.
The neck warmers were especially appreciated during last week’s cold spell.
This gift was made possible by Mr. Wiersema and his class of Grade 5/6 students.
The class not only took on the challenge of learning how to sew but also making neck warmers for every student.
They started the project in late November when they began sewing lessons as part of a Makerspace project. From there they chose material, completed the math to determine the amount of material needed and the cost for every neck warmer.
I’m sure each and every student and their families appreciate the hard work that went into making these neck warmers. This is another example of the commitment from all Crossroads staff and students in making Crossroads a warm and welcoming environment to work and learn in.
Sincere sympathy to family and friends of Melanie Tetu. She was blessed with caring, loving parents that were diligent in giving Melanie the best life possible. The sparkle in her eyes and smile showed her love for her parents. She touched the lives of many. Although faced with many health issues she was a true “fire cracker.”
Many lives have been touched and enriched because of Melanie. Once again sincere sympathy and prayers to all who are grieving her loss.
Sympathy also the the family and friends of Robin McQuaker.
A true family man, hard worker and a man who left his mark on many folks. The district in thinking of you all at this time of loss.
Sadly another passing of a well known man. Prayers and thoughts to all that are grieving the passing of Lance Salchert.
Always a jokester, and always friendly. You always knew when Lance was in a room, because he filled it with his friendly, larger than life presence.

Robin’s 2 cents
A little boy opened the family Bible. He was fascinated as he fingered through the pages. Suddenly something fell out of the bible. He picked up the object and looked at it. What he saw was an old leaf that had been pressed between the pages.
“Momma, look what I found,” the boy called out.
“What have you got there dear?”
With astonishment in the young boy’s voice, he answered, “I think it’s Adam’s underwear.”
