Starting the week of June 22, the Stratton Toy Library will change its Thursday hours to 9 a.m.-3 p.m. instead of 1-7 p.m.
In other news, the winner of the recent 50/50 draw there was Robert Anderson. The draw was made by Brett Guba of Eden Prairie, Mn.
A big thank you to everyone who donated items, bought tickets, and worked at the penny table.
“It was a huge success,” said STL co-ordinator Tami Mann. “We raised over $400.”
Hailey Heyens was the winner of the Mother’s Day draw held by the STL, taking home a handmade planter as well as a gift certificate for Lowey’s Greenhouse.
That draw was made by MacKenzie Jolicoeur, with proceeds going to the toy library.
With Father’s Day coming up this Sunday (June 15), the STL would like to wish all the dads out there a very happy day.
To help celebrate the occasion, the STL is holding a draw this Friday (June 13) for a Stratton Service mug and $20 gift certificate. Tickets are on sale for three for $1.
Meanwhile, Mann said they are still looking and waiting to receive more recipes for their cookbook.
Those interested in contributing are asked to drop off their recipes and pictures at the STL so they can get started on the cookbook. Thank you to those of you who already have brought yours in.
A reminder there will be a pizza party for the after-school kids on June 19 as that is the last Thursday before summer holidays. Those interested are asked to pre-register so organizers know how many pizzas to order.
Finally, there has been some suggestions that respite be moved to Fridays for the summer months. There is a questionnaire enclosed with your June newsletter.
Please return it to the STL by June 20.
