STL planning Valentine party

The Stratton Toy Library has scheduled a pre-school Valentine party, featuring a treasure hunt, games, and snack, for Thursday, Feb. 10 from 10:30 a.m. until noon.
Those interested are asked to pre-register and also get a list of names for a Valentine card exchange. Also let them know if you’d like to participate in the box lunch (adult or child).
If you do not participate in the box lunch, please bring a decorated lunch for your child.
In other news, the STL’s next general board meeting is slated Friday, Feb. 25 at 10 a.m. Anyone wishing to become a board member must attend.
Meanwhile, STL is having its inventory week, with co-ordinator Patti Nordin saying all items seem to be in place. New items include Graco Baby Swing, Jolly Jumper, Winnie the Pooh, Lego set, and dominoes.
The STL extends special thanks to Heather McLean as she was a great help during inventory week. She volunteered as part of her community service work required for her high school diploma.
STL also thanks the Northwestern Health Unit for sharing its “Northern Healthy Eating Project,” which concerns helping northerners improve their eating habits.
In case you missed it, Jody Gouliquer of Bergland won the STL’s 50/50 draw held back on Dec. 16, taking home $151.
Winners of the free STL memberships were Laurie Anderson (drawn by Edith Haw), Edith Haw (drawn by Mary-Ann Haw), and Ann Michl (drawn by Shelly McLean).
The memberships were donated by Healthy Babies, Healthy Children and NorthWords (both are programs of the Northwestern Health Unit and STL).
This draw was part of STL’s information campaign on safety issues and the play value of toys.
