Still no interest for reeve in Morley

Ken Johnston

No one filed for the position of reeve in Morley Township last Wednesday.
This was the second call for nominations for the position, which currently is held by Gary Gamsby.
Four individuals—Moe Henry, George Heyens, Maury Nielson, and Bill Romyn—were acclaimed to council in Morley.
Since there are enough councillors to form a quorum, the incoming council either can appoint someone, who is willing, to the position of reeve or call for a by-election.
It is completely up to the new council on which way it wants to fill the position.
