Guthrie United Church in Devlin will host its annual “Spring Fling” tea and bake sale this Saturday (April 7) at the Devlin Hall.
The event runs from 2-3:30 p.m., with the draws beginning at 3 p.m.
This always enjoyable event also will feature a penny table, bake table, and cookie walk.
Admission is $3 for adults and $2 for children aged six-12, with those five and under being free.

A merchandise Bingo will be held Thursday, April 12 from 6:30-9 p.m. at the Emo Legion.
This event is to raise money for the DYS Grade 7/8 Toronto trip.

A reminder that Emo Spring Fever Days runs April 20-21 this year.
The Emo Legion will hold a soup-and-bun luncheon over the two days.

The Devlin/La Vallee volunteer fire department will host its annual spaghetti supper on Saturday, April 21 from 4-7 p.m. at the Devlin Hall.
Tickets cost $10 in advanced, which can be purchased from any volunteer firefighter, and $12 at the door.
All money raised will go to our local fire department.

Many of you will remember my mom, who passed away in 1989, and some will remember her brother, Dwight Fearing.
Dwight passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 1 at the age of 73.
He had been living in South Dakota.
