Engines will be humming and charitable snowmobile enthusiasts raring to go this weekend for the silver anniversary of one of Northwestern Ontario’s most enduring outdoor traditions.
The 25th-annual Atikokan “Snow-a-rama,” which goes to White Otter Castle and back, will take place Saturday, weather and snow conditions permitting.
The event, which last year attracted more than 50 riders and raised roughly $18,000 for the local branch of Easter Seals, will be followed by a dinner and dance hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Atikokan.
