The Northwest Region logged a single fire incident by yesterday afternoon.
Fort Frances Fire #11 resulted from a downed tree on a power line near Highway 71 north of Little Pine Lake.
The 0.1-hectare blaze since has been declared “out.”
Just two active fires remain in the region-Red Lake Fire #30 is listed as “under control” while Red Lake Fire #4 still is “under observation.”
The forest fire hazard currently is “low” throughout the Northwest Region.
To date in the 2018 fire season, Ontario has seen 204 fires burning a total of 4,294 hectares.
