The Rainy River Future Development Corp. will hold another videoconference, this one entitled “Things to Know Before Starting Your Small Business Website,” at its office in Fort Frances (608 Scott St.) on Wednesday, Jan. 6 from 10 a.m.-noon.
Coree Francisco (Lanoie.com) will cover such topics as choosing your domain name(s), determining your website needs, and choosing a hosting provider, web design company, and/or shopping cart solutions.
The fee for this workshop is $5 per person. Anyone interested should pre-register by contacting the RRFDC at 274-3276.

“Canada Revenue Agency–Year-End T4 Preparation Seminar” is slated for Jan. 25, followed by “Canada Revenue Agency–Payroll Information Seminar” (Jan. 26) and “Cash Flow is King–Cash Flow & Financial Ratios” (Jan. 27).

The Emo Legion hosted the monthly men’s breakfast meeting on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 8 a.m.
The guest speaker this month was Dan Holen of Baudette, Mn.

The annual Boxing Day bonspiel is being planned for Dec. 26 by the Emo Curling Club.
Breakfast will start at 8 a.m., with the curling to get underway at 9 a.m.
The canteen will be open all day long.

In other curling news, the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #99 in Emo will host a “Funspiel” on Jan. 22-23 at the Emo club.
Open to all, the entry fee is $25 per person, which includes a banquet that will be held on the Saturday night.
