Congratulations to Sandra Allan for being crowned the winner of the “Biggest Loser” contest Saturday during Spring Fever Days in Emo.
Allan lost more than 41 pounds over the 10 weeks, and took home $750 in honour of her loss.
Way to go, Sandra. You’re a shining example for us all.

Cribbage winners at the Emo Legion last Wednesday were Bill Birrell and Joan Buttazoni, with Rene and Dennis Kivell as the runners-up. Donna Morrish won the door prize.
A reminder the next Bingo at the Emo Legion will be held tomorrow (April 21). As well, the Legion’s next 50/50 draw is this Friday (April 22).

Amy Flatt is in intensive care after a serious car accident in Thunder Bay. Amy grew up in Devlin and I’m sure many remember her.

The Rainy River District Women’s Institute is holding a tea and bake sale at the Emo Museum from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. There will be Mother’s Day crafts, a bake sale, plus a good cup of tea!

A Devlin couple had three children named Eenie, Meenie, and Minie. Then they had their fourth child, which they named George.
