The Emo & District Hospital Auxiliary held its annual Shamrock Tea on Friday, March 12, with just under 100 people attending.
Those on hand enjoyed a pleasant afternoon of tea, dainties, and socializing with friends.
The money raised at the tea and bake sale, which totalled $911, will go towards the upgrading of the X-ray equipment at the Emo Health Centre.
The auxiliary would like to thank all who donated, worked, and helped out with this event.
Anyone wishing to become a member of the auxiliary can do so for only $2. Contact Chris Hartry if you are interested.

The next “Country Jam” at the Emo Legion will take place this Friday (March 25) starting shortly after 7 p.m.
These “Jams” have been a huge success for months, and they just seem to be getting better.
Musicians of all ages from across the district and beyond regularly have been participating in these musical evenings.
Any musician who would like to sit in on the upcoming session is asked to let Charleen know by calling 483-5839.

The men’s breakfast held this past Saturday (March 20) was well-attended by former Steinbach Bible College students, friends, and interested men from across the district.
Those on hand were treated to an inspiring message from guest speaker Prof. Ernie Koop from the SBC, who challenged the men to stand up to the temptations of living in the world today.
The next men’s breakfast will be held Saturday, April 17.

The Rainy River Future Development Corp. is offering a number of upcoming workshops which may be of interest.
Topics that will be covered in the next few weeks include GST information, developing a policies and procedures manual, small business tax information, business opportunities and ideas, retail loss prevention, and many more.
All the videoconferences, which cost only $5 each, will take place in the RRFDC’s training room at 608 Scott St. in Fort Frances.

The Emo and District Lions Club is proud to announce the charter application for their new club is well underway.
Anyone interested in joining the organization as a charter member still can do so by calling Jason (482-3788), Dave (482-2540), or Larry (482- 3104).
A Charter night is being planned for June 4.
Lions Clubs International is the largest service organization in the world with clubs in more than 200 countries and territories.
The new club hopes to become a positive force for change and improvement in Emo and the surrounding communities.
