The Nestor Falls recreation committee is very proud to be staging the 27th-annual Winter Carnival on Feb. 27-March 1!
Kicking off this year’s event will be an amazing concert featuring Adam T. Elvis—the #1 Elvis impersonator in Manitoba! Adam’s bang-on impersonation, accompanied by his great band (the Good Rockin’ Tonight Band), is not to be missed!
Tickets cost $20 each, which are available at Dalseg’s Fine Foods, Monique’s Log Cabin, or by calling Kiley Hanson at 484-2615.
Just 150 seats will be available for the show, and tickets only are being sold in advance.
Meanwhile, in addition to the regular lineup of events, the rec committee is adding a couple of new ones this year! They’ll be holding a “fun skate” at the Nestor Falls School rink at 4:30 pm on Friday, Feb. 27.
Come out with friends and family and enjoy hot chocolate and snacks while using the skating rink that’s so wonderfully cared for by the fire department and other community volunteers.
A ice and snow sculpture contest also is planned. Build a sculpture in your own front yard during the month of February, and they will do a judging tour on Friday, Feb. 27. Great prizes to win!
Register your sculpture by calling Selene LeBlanc at 484-2639.
Keep an eye out for posters with the full schedule of events, or check it out on the Township of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls website at www.livethelakelife.ca
