Second COVID case in Kenora


A second case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in Kenora.

The Northwestern Health Unit confirmed the new case this morning. According to the NWHU, this second case is a close contact of Kenora’s first case, which is now resolved. The initial case was in self-isolation, with all contacts notified at the time. The first confirmed case in Kenora acquired the virus from out of province travel.

The NWHU said that they are in daily contact with the new case and it will be conducting further in-depth investigations to verify that all contacts are identified and self-isolating as well.

This newest case brings the regional total positive COVID-19 cases to 16.
