While Emo Feeds is known for its farm supplies and equipment, Sabine Sawatzky, wife and Jane-of-all-trades at Emo Feeds, wants everyone to know they supply goods for everyone an everything on the family farm. In addition to a showing of baby animals and for sale items they usually offer, Emo Feeds will be hosting the Pink Parasol tea-truck, as well as a Mexican grill for Spring Fever Days. An egg hunt and various farm specials will also be available throughout Spring Fever Days.

“If you come into our retail store, we really kind of cater to the whole farming family, because farming is definitely something that is a family activity,” said Sawatzky.

“The feed store is really a family farm store. So there’s something for everyone … We’ve got clothing. We have toys, decor items, and gifts. So, if you’ve never checked out Emo Feeds, Spring Fever Days is definitely a good time to come on out and see what we are, because I think [we offer] something kind of unique to the district in that we are the family farm store.”

Keeping with the family farm theme, Emo Feeds has an easter egg hunt and baby animals on display for young ones and the young-at-heart.

“We do have a kids Egg Hunt and some baby animals,” said Sawatzky.

“So, we’ve got a few kids bringing in some baby animals to showcase outside.”

Emo Feeds will also have a sale running for Spring Fever Days.

“We’ve got in store sales up to 20% off,” said Sawatzky.

“It’s just items in general, but we do have a kind of Out-with-the-old sidewalk rummage sale going on that’s like a bigger clearance on things that just need to go.”

The store will have a selection of food and refreshments available for purchase on Friday and Saturday through partnerships with other area businesses.

“The Pink Parasol Tea Truck will be parked here serving their teas,” said Sawatzky.

“We do sell their teas here. But, they’ll be here with their little tea truck, which is a new thing this year. She’ll be selling tea and coffee on Friday.”

“The fun thing this year is, in our greenhouse, we’re gonna have a Mexican Grill happening,” said Sawatzky.

“So, that’s just authentic Mexican food that people can come and buy for lunch. It’s $12-14 a plate and is cash only, but it will be authentic Mexican food.”
