The Rainy River Federation of Agriculture will hold its annual dinner and meeting this Saturday (Nov. 3) at the Millennium Hall in Stratton.
A social hour begins at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 and the meeting at 7:30.

The guest speaker for the evening will be Peter Jeffrey of the OFA, whose presentation is entitled “Farm Machinery and our Roads.”
There also will be some mystery entertainment so be sure to come out and enjoy an evening with friends!
The Emo and District Lions Club will be holding its annual “Hunters Night,” featuring a wild meat and fish dinner, on Saturday, Nov. 10 at the Barwick Hall.

On Nov. 11, we observe a moment of silence to honour the courage, valour, and sacrifice of the heroes who have served–and continue to serve–Canada during times of war and conflict.
Please take the time to attend a service of remembrance at a cenotaph in your community.
The third-annual “Christmas Market” will take place at the Copper River Inn in Fort Frances on Friday, Nov. 23 from 5-9 p.m. and again on Saturday, Nov. 24 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
There will be more than 30 tables to shop at and there’s bound to be something for everyone!
Admission is free but the organizers would love for you to bring along a non-perishable food item to be donated to the food bank. For those who do bring a donation, you will be entered in an hourly draw for a cash voucher to be spent at any one of the booths.
Come out and support the local artisans and find a Christmas present for that special someone!
The Emo “Best Start” Hub will be offering a babysitting course in January for children aged 12 or turning 12 within three months of taking the course.
Graduates will receive a babysitter’s handbook.
