The final meeting of the 4-H club, Rock’n Wood, was held at Shirley Morrish’s home.
The first activity of the meeting was to clean the roadside from Van Drunen Road to Shirley’s home.
Members participated in the other road clean-ups. It was about an eight-km walk through ditches and roadside, however, the final appearance of the roadsides was well worth it.
During the roadside clean-up, we saw a skeleton of an animal that we thought might have been a wolf. We also picked up some small trees to plant in our flower pots.
We reached Shirley’s home muddy and exhausted, but managed to plant the trees in the flower pots we had painted during an earlier meeting.
We ended our productive day with a small bonfire, where we roasted marshmallows and hotdogs, and had chips, vegetables, and gummy snakes.
Everyone had a great time, as usual. This was another great meeting day for the Rock’n Wood Club.
