A roast beef supper, complete with potatoes, veggies, buns, salads, and desserts, is planned for Sunday, May 15 from 5-7 p.m. at the Dance Community Hall.
The cost is $12 for adults and $6 for kids, with those six and under eating free.
The Dance Hall is located 16 km north on Highway 613 and one km west.

A gigantic garage sale is set for this Saturday (May 14) at the Fort Frances Curling Club beginning at 8 a.m. sharp and running until noon.

The Rainy River District Women’s Institute will host a Spring Tea on Friday, May 20 from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at the United Church in Emo.
The menu will feature soup, sandwiches, and dessert.
Door prizes will be drawn, and a bake table also will be set up.
Admission is $7.

Junior and senior students from the Ojibway program at Crossroads School attended “Quest for Knowledge” at Big Grassy on April 21.
When the final questions were asked, both Crossroads teams finished in second place.

The Emo Legion will host a fish fry on Thursday, May 26 at the Emo Arena in conjunction with the annual Emo Walleye Classic.

As always, the Emo Walleyedol (ages 14 and over) and Minnow-idol (ages eight-13) singing competitions will take place during the Emo Walleye Classic.
The enjoyable evening is slated for Friday, May 27 beginning at 6:30 p.m., with the first 15 contestants being accepted.
More than $1,000 in prizes will be awarded.
