The board of directors of Riverside Health Care Facilities, Inc. met Sept. 24 to discuss the current president and CEO’s employment agreement, which expires on March 31, 2015.
After a thorough discussion, including a review of his recent performance appraisal, the board decided to enter into contract re-negotiations with Allan Katz.
On Oct. 1, Katz thanked the board of directors but informed chairperson Norma Elliott that, for personal reasons, he would not seek a contract extension.
In keeping with the terms and conditions of his employment, Katz provided 180 days’ written notice of his departure to the board.
“We wish to thank Mr. Katz for his service to Riverside and wish him well in his future endeavours,” said Elliott.
She noted the board immediately would begin considering its recruitment options to ensure continued leadership stability and a smooth transition by the end of March.
