A reminder that several cenotaph services will be held in the district for Remembrance Day this Sunday (Nov. 11).
There first will be a church service at 10 a.m. at the Devlin Hall, followed by services at the Devlin cenotaph (11 a.m.) and the Emo cenotaph (11:45 a.m.)
Following a luncheon at 12:30 p.m. at the Emo Legion, cenotaph services then will be held at Manitou Rapids (1:30 p.m.), Barwick (2 p.m.), and Stratton (2:30 p.m.)
The Emo Legion then will host the annual Remembrance Day supper at 5 p.m.
If you’re able, take in at least one of the events. This is a way to pay tribute to all soldiers and people who have been affected by war.
As well, Crossroads School in Devlin will hold a Remembrance Day service this Friday (Nov. 9) at 11 a.m.
Everyone is welcome to attend.

Sympathy to the family and friends of Mike Zimmerman.
This hard-working man raised a large family when times were hard and was another person of great strength and honour.
Sympathy, as well, to the family and many friends of Phyllis Ulrich (Councillor), who was such an amazing, vibrant woman.
I always felt so blessed when our paths crossed. She always was smiling and willing to share a few minutes with you.
