In May, 2010, the Northwestern Health Unit held a community consultation for the communities of La Vallee, Emo and Chapple to identify local health priorities, and two community goals were identified at the time.
The first goal was to increase consumption and use of local foods by local businesses and residents and the second goal was to increase access to physical activity opportunities for low income families in these three communities.
A follow-up meeting will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 10 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Emo Inn to discuss these priorities and potential initiatives to address them.
If you would like to be part of the discussion and planning, you are invited to attend.
Please call Wilma Sletmoen at 482-2211 to register or for more information. Lunch will be provided.

Snow is going to hit us any day and there is one good thing about it—it makes your lawn look as good as your neighbour’s.
