Robin McCormick
Rob Rea will be attending Grade 10 in Thunder Bay in September instead of Fort Frances High School.
This all came about last week (Aug. 8-13) when Rea tried out for the Thunder Bay ‘AAA’ Minor Midget Kings and made the roster.
The teen and his parents, Glenna and Mark, accepted the challenge and so he’s off to the Lakehead in a few weeks.
Also making the team from our district were Jon Carlson and Bryce Knapp. Congratulations to all three.
And for anyone living in Thunder Bay, be sure to take in one of their games if you can. I’m sure the boys would be happy to see a familiar face!

Tom and Linda Booth are very happy as they welcome a new grandchild into their family.
Charlotte Ann May was born Aug. 8 in Winnipeg, weighing in at five pounds, 13 oz.
Proud first-time parents are Jeffrey Booth and Hannah Kvenn.
Charlotte (Charlie) was honoured with a baby shower in Devlin but due to her early arrival, her parents were unable to attend.
Nonetheless, the shower went ahead and the family enjoyed themselves.

Robin’s 2¢:
A husband tried to talk his wife into buying a case of Miller Lite for $14.95. Instead, she bought a jar of cold cream for $7.95.
He told her the beer would make her look better at night than the cold cream.
That’s how their fight started!
