Rainy River
In the Town of Rainy River, incumbent Deborah Ewald and former councillor Andrew Hartnell are running for mayor.
Running for the six council positions in Rainy River are Rebecca Brooks, incumben Joel Hagarty, Lindsay Logsdon, Jeffrey Marchuk, incumbent Florence Joan Newman, Scott Olson, incumbent Gordon Prost, Dana Tait and Anthony Venables.
Alberton
In Alberton, current mayor Michael Ford is the only candidate for the top seat.
There are four council positions and four candidates: Diane Glowasky, Felicia Blasky, Peter Spuzak and Kevin Douse.
These candidates have been acclaimed as councillors.
La Vallee
La Vallee’s reeve, Lucille Macdonald was unopposed until last Friday, when former councillor Jim Belluz joined the race.
There are six candidates vying for four council positions: incumbents Brendan Hyatt, Elaine Hughes, Steve Lowshaw and Kenneth Badiuk are all running again while Daniel Rea, Gary Esselink, will look to join council.
Chapple
In Chapple, incumbent James Gibson is the only candidate for reeve.
Incumbents Robert Barron, Trish Neilson, and Vaughan Wilson are running again with Maryellen Brigham, Jason Teeple, Frank Szeder Jr. also running, for the four positions of council.
Dawson
Mayor Doug Hartnell of Dawson is running against David Haner this year, and there are four council positions to be filled by candidates Kimberly Gosnell, Melanie Murray, Rudy Sinninghe, Calvin Krahn and Cory Laroque who is the only incumbent running again this year.
Lake of the Woods
In Lake of the Woods Township, Mayor Colleen Fadden is the sole candidate for the top seat.
There are four candidates for the four council positions, with Kaitlyn Cottam, Nancy Gate William Lundgren, and Bruce Pentney.
They have all been acclaimed.
Morley
Morley’s reeve, Telford Advent, is up against challenger Ashley Morrison. There are four positions on council, and seven candidates: Jamie Beal, Paul Brown, and Andrew McCormick, are all incumbents while Ricky Pollard, Matt Anderson, Maury Nielson and Zachary Sopotiuck are all looking to join council.
