“Railroad Daze”

Mark your calendars, Rainy River District—Railroad Daze is taking place July 18-20.
Planning is well underway and we are excited with the prospects of rejuvenating some past successful events, as well as introducing some new activities to take part in.
The Rainy River recreation board once again is a huge contributor to Railroad Daze.
A committee is in the process of being formed to work closely with the rec board to make this year’s events and activities full of fun, excitement, and an overall success.
Some of the newer/rejuvenated events you may see happening include a model train display (two organizations are coming in from Winnipeg), scavenger hunt, “Guitar Hero” competition, and ball hockey tournament.
Also planned are a family fun evening (carnival/dance), horseback rides, riverboat tours, and a flea market/craft and bake sale.
Of course, you will see the regular events like the baseball tournament, Saturday children’s activities, an interdenominational church service, and a Sunday afternoon music festival.
There also will be a seniors’ luncheon, cardboard boat races, a smear tournament, and parade.
